Tracking The Town’s Movie Draft on Fantasy Box Office

Fantasy Box Office is hosting the scoreboard for The Town's 2026 Box Office Draft.

The Town is one of the most influential podcasts covering the business of Hollywood, hosted by Puck reporter Matt Belloni with Bloomberg's Lucas Shaw and produced by The Ringer. (Fans of The Studio may remember Belloni's cameo in the show's first and last episodes.) For years, the show has played a fantasy sports-style box office draft game that's very similar to the rules we use at Fantasy Box Office.

The Town held their own 2026 movie draft this week, and Fantasy Box Office will be hosting their scoreboard for the full year. Listen to the episode here and hear how two professional Hollywood reporters conduct a box-office draft. Stay to the end to hear the Fantasy Box Office shout-out!

Follow along with their Fantasy Box Office league page. Unlike most leagues, The Town only drafts once per year, and they use a 1x multiplier for budgets.

Their scoreboard updates daily with the latest worldwide box office, and you can also scroll through the show's drafts from previous years. If you're logged in, you can hit the Watch button to pin their league to your Dashboard.

Special thanks to the show's producer Craig Horlbeck and the entire team at The Town for their support!
