Nurse Teresa is forced to leave her children home alone to start her shift. When her son injures his head, she, as the only registered nurse, cannot leave the ward. Her ex-husband steps in at home but threatens to revoke Teresa's custody of her son. At the same time, a patient suffers cardiac arrest, and Teresa is fighting for his life.
