A 20 year old Asian Canadian youth struggles to care for his mentally deteriorating mother and, after a dangerous side hustle goes wrong, faces an impossible moral choice that will change his life.

Kai, a student and only child with his mentally ill mother, resorts to crime to keep them afloat. With the help of his loyal and hardened childhood friend, Traye, they go on an extortion job that ends in a fatal accident, breaking Kai’s bond to his mother and his home.
