After a bank robbery in the heart of Vienna, the cunning small-time crook Chester takes refuge with the childlike, naive stamp dealer Herbert. A very bad choice, as Herbert destroys all of his prey due to his clumsiness. Chester, with underworld capo Otto breathing down his neck, is devastated.
