In the heart of Rio de Janeiro, Maria da Graça (Léa Garcia), the devoted and hardworking mother of Pedro (Vinícius Patrício) lives in the highest and isolated spot of the Pedacinho do Céu favela, who works hard to maintain her son's studies.
