Summer 2026 is shaping up to be the biggest season for Fantasy Box Office since we started the game in 2022. From franchise favorites like Spider-Man: Brand New Day and Toy Story 5, to director-driven films like The Odyssey and Disclosure Day, to studio stalwarts like Moana and The Mandalorian & Grogu, there's something for everyone to get excited about.
Starting today, League Commissioners can set up their league's Summer drafts from their Dashboard. Summer drafts cover movies releasing May through August. (We recommend holding the drafts in late April, so you have as much information as possible—studios will debut trailers and tracking information throughout the month.)
At Fantasy Box Office, we've been hard at work improving the research and draft experience to make the process easier and more fun. Read on to learn about some of the site's new features.
Prepare Like a Pro
We've launched new full-screen movie pages that show news headlines, cast & crew info, and links to comparable movies. This makes it easier to scout upcoming picks, and predict how they may perform based on similar movies' results.

Thinking about picking up Mortal Kombat 2? Scroll to the Franchise section to see how the first Mortal Kombat did. Or walk through Meryl Streep's credits to see if The Devil Wears Prada 2 deserves a spot in your slate.

The more prepared you are, the better you'll draft.
Pick with Confidence
We've totally revamped the algorithm powering the Hype Score. It's much more accurate and shows which movies Fantasy Box Office players are excited about.
During your turn, you'll see the most-hyped movie highlighted in the list. Of course, that's no guarantee the movie will do well! The summer will be full of surprises—sure things will bust, and sleeper hits will come out of nowhere, so the suggested picks are just one data point during your draft.
They’re especially useful late in the draft, when you’re choosing between movies you don’t recognize.

Of course, League Commissioners can disable suggestions if your league prefers to draft unassisted.
Keep It Moving
The most requested feature on the Fantasy Box Office Discord is finally here!
League Commissioners can now set pick time limits to keep drafts moving. When the timer runs out, the system will auto-pick the top suggested movie, or a random pick, based on your league settings.

Set timers anywhere from 1 minute to 48 hours per turn. Run a fast-paced draft, or give everyone time to think through every decision. The choice is yours.
Control the Draft
The entire draft board has been redesigned to be cleaner, faster, and easier to use.
League Commissioners now have a control bar along the top to adjust settings on the fly or auto-pick for players, without interrupting the draft.
On mobile, the board scrolls horizontally to reveal the full snake draft pattern, so you always know exactly where you are.

Customize Your League
In case you missed our last post, League Commissioners can now set custom budgets and multipliers for any movie. Maybe your league thought that Winter season was too brutal—now you can lower the Summer movie multipliers so the game is easier, without affecting your Winter pick's scores.

Good luck this summer! We'll see you at the movies.
